You meet somewhere public, such as a café, the park or the library.
For people aged 55 and over
Alongside is for people aged 55 and over. The person you meet is a member too: someone local who would also like good company.
How the ID check works
Every member confirms who they are with a photo ID and a matching selfie before they can meet anyone. It is an identity check, not a background check.
You both say yes first
We suggest someone for you to meet. You can say yes or no.
You only ever meet someone after you have both said yes.
What it costs
Free while we launch in Guernsey. If that changes, we’ll tell you first, and nothing is charged unless you choose a plan.
What Alongside is not
Alongside is not a care service and not a dating app. It is community companionship: walks, coffee, conversation.
